my soul's travels: notes from Will You...

Happiness is not found in marriage.

All of us are broken by sin, marred by our past.

The starting point of marriage is our relationship with Christ.

Ephesians 5:22-33

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us

Selfless

1 Cor 13:4-5

Selfishness is the oppposite of love

Love is way more than just an emotional high.

Our emotions cannot distinguish fantasy from reality

Love needs a binding commitment for it to flourish

True love desires permanence

Friendship

Your spouse must be your best friend

Look for someone who is potentially your best friend.
